Acts_29 is actually the name of our band. This band comprises of the teenagers who dedicate their lives to Someone called Jesus Christ. We confess that He is the One who loves us with the eternity love and He is our Hero in our lives. Our band has totally 7 personnel; two vocalists named Amelia and Andre, a keyboardist who has a funny nick name, Noet2, a drummer called Yoha, two guitarists named William and Joshua and a cool bassist named Yuzuv. hehehe it is me. I just want to introduce myself. I am the bassist of this band. As I told you, My name is actually Yusuf but I myself changed it a bit to Yuzuv so that it looks cool.
In this post, I would like to tell you the details how the Acts_29 was formed. We were classmates when we were in the second grade and the third grade as well of junior high school. We were not close each other before until someday, when our mathematic teacher was absent and another teacher replaced him, I had a chat with 3 of my friends; Amelia, Hendri, and Aditya. Both Amelia and Hendri were born in christian families but They did not believe in Jesus. Aditya was a Moslem at that time. Firstly, Amelia and Hendri were talking about the Holy Spirit and also a tongue language. They did not understand at all and then, they invited me to join the chat. I was asked some questions concerning to that and I who was a new believer at that time, tried to explain it to them. After a while, our chat was getting interested and I asked Yoha to join. We kept talking and sharing and I did not realize that there have been some friends taking part. Tottaly, there were 10 people. We talked about the last days as well. Amelia shared that she really wanted to be a believer. She wanted to love Jesus but she felt hard. She said that she has tried many times to live in holyness but she failed. She used to ask for forgiveness for the sins she made and she became frustated. she was unable to be free from sins. Aftwerwards, I told her an illustration how to repent and follow Him. The key is that we have to have desire to surrender our lives wholly to Him and obey His commands. Meanwhile, Aditya who was just listening to our conversation, asked some questions and eventually he wanted to believe in Him. It was awesome. Shortly, Amelia came up with the idea to build a prayer community every Saturday after the school finished. We agreed and we commited to start it in the following week.
To be continued on the chapter 2 …
